Why Bright Sky?

The contractor your neighbor wishes they'd called first.

Most solar companies are sales operations that subcontract the actual work. We're the crew on your roof. Every job is run by our team, every warranty is signed by our owner, and every call goes to someone who knows your install by name.

1

One crew, one accountability chain.

No sales-to-subcontractor handoff. The people who quote your project are the people who install it.

2

Roof and solar, together.

We do both, so we never blame the other guy. If something leaks, we fix it — full stop.

3

25-year workmanship warranty.

Most installers warranty their work for 10. We back ours as long as your panels do, in writing.

4

Straight numbers, no boiler room.

No high-pressure pitches, no "today only" pricing tricks. You'll get a real proposal you can take to anyone.

From the neighbors

Built on referrals, not ads.

Most of our work comes from a homeowner telling another homeowner. Here's why.

"They tore off the old roof, set the panels, and were gone in two days. The cleanup was so good I couldn't tell they'd been here except the bills dropped in half."

Common questions

Things homeowners ask us.

How much does a typical solar install cost in New England?
Most residential systems run between $18,000 and $40,000 installed, depending on system size, roof complexity, and whether you add battery backup. We'll give you a real number on the spot — not a "starting at" teaser.
Didn't the federal solar tax credit go away?
Yes — the 30% federal residential ITC ended on January 1, 2026 under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Solar still makes sense in New England because our electric rates are some of the highest in the country, and state-level programs (Massachusetts SMART, Rhode Island REG, Connecticut and New Hampshire net metering, etc.) still pay you for the power you generate. We'll walk you through what's available in your state.
What's the difference between your warranty and others?
Most installers warranty their workmanship (the actual installation) for 10 years. We back ours for 25 — the same length as your panel and inverter warranties. If something we touched fails, we fix it. No deductibles, no time-on-the-clock charges.
Do I need a new roof before I go solar?
If your roof is older than about 15 years, it's usually smarter to replace it first — otherwise you'll pay to take the panels off and put them back on. We do both, so we can bundle the work and save you that round trip. We'll be straight with you about whether your current roof is solid enough.
What if I already have panels but need a new roof?
That's our removal & reinstall service. We safely de-rack your existing system — even if another company installed it — replace the roof, and put the panels back. Your production warranty stays intact because we don't damage the equipment.
How long does a solar install take?
From contract to "switched on," typically 6–12 weeks — most of that is permitting and utility approvals, not the actual install. The crew is usually on your roof for just 1–2 days.
What financing options do you offer?
We work with several solar lenders offering 15, 20, and 25-year terms with rates typically between 6–8% APR depending on credit. You can also pay cash, use a HELOC, or split. We'll lay out every path so you can pick what fits your budget.
Do you serve my town?
If you're anywhere in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, or Vermont, yes. Call or text us at 978-895-7276 if you want to confirm before booking — we usually answer either within the hour.
